I had a cheap 3amp black and decker drill that has served me well over the years. Today I was trying to mix some drywall mud to texture the ceilings in a rental property of mine. The cordless was not an option, and my 3.0 amp almost did ok for a few minutes, but then smoked and died. I ran to the score and picked up this 7 amp model with the additional handle for extra control, and WOW what a difference. It mixed up the mud with ease and seemed to have power to spare. The one negative thing I did notice right away, it was very very loud. Overall I like B&D stuff. Most things I have purchased have lasted a long time and run great. I will never be a cool handy man with all DeWalt stuff, but I will have a few extra benjamins in my wallet.

I like the B&D drill. It’s a bit heavy for me as I’m 72 yro. It’s a good drill and I do like the B&D products. My last B&D drill lasted 30 yrs, I’d say I got my money’s worth. I might try using it without the handle, that might lighten it up a bit. I love tools and love to build things. I still have my B&D skill saw, and that to is 30 yro and working fine.

Because I’ve almost broken mine several times using this. The Drill itself is not bad. It’s the design of it that’s the problem. I purchase this drill to make 5/8 holes in steel sheets. Not a deadly difficult tasks and things go well when the drill operates smooth. The flaw with the drill is the side handle. As the one featured in this picture it does not screw directly into the body of the unit. It clamps on. This might be nice if it worked but the clamp is plastic, and the area it gets clamped into is plastic as well. The end result is that you have a drill that slips and slides around in place. No big deal if you don’t need the handle but if your breaking into metal it’s necessary in case you get a pinch. With this the handle would always slip out of place because of the power the drill has it would get caught in a grove on the metal your drilling and spin then Spin on you. I hope you let go in time because if you don’t say good bye to your hand. Horrible design flaw but the drill works well when the clamp stays in place.

1 Star from me because it happened to frequently. Very dangerous.

    BOOTY, HARD-TRANCEY, ACID, TECHNO FUSION !!!!!!!!, September 25, 2000

DJ Hardware was the first Dj I saw live when I moved from Europe to Florida. It was one of the most powerful sets i had seen in a while. His CD’s are all very good no matter if breaks or “trance”. Don’t expect trance America knows today. It is not that cheesy 1999 Trancewave stuff. It sounds (for me) like music I heard in the mid 90′s in Western European clubs. A faster harder very pumping Acid like Techno Trance. Hardware definetely loves Acid lines throuhout all his mixes. The good old 303 tweek, birdy sound will be there almost continously. His mixing skills are sure great and he has proven that various times. If you like George Acosta style south beach Trance keep you fingers off this one. Also if you are a friend of REAL TRANCE (my favorite) this one is not necessarily recommended. Everyone else you likes Hard Trance or not to crazy booty, not too hard Acid Techno or any kind of fast clubby sound should get this LP and the Mindcontroller by Hardware. Straight forward old European Club Sound. Fans of DJ Micro should like this one as well. SHARPMAKS

Another excellent mix by legendary dj hardware. The cd starts out very nice, slows down a bit through songs 5-8 (but still good) and then song 9 to the end is totally amazing!
