This is a great computer! Can run Dreamweaver, Photoshop and other larger programs at the same time without issue. No problem multitasking. Can play games on Facebook or Pogo without any lag. Definitely am very happy to be able to work on my web business, or watch videos and play games without any problems! Highly recommend this PC!

We have opened and started to load this Dell PC. Our old Windows XP was no longer going to be supported but has lasted us 10 years so we are sold on Dell. This one has windows 7 just like amazon said. We did notice you had to be sure when you ordered if it had windows 7 or windows 8. The i5 processor is fast and we love it! It came in a timely fashion and are pleased with our purchase.

This computer has lots of “horsepower”.
I had no trouble setting it up with all the programs I need.
I did have a little help from my favorite guru.

What I’m going to touch on here are the things that I found most important about this machine when I installed it for a client of mine. This machine is perfectly acceptable under most standards for daily computer usage. The stand is perfectly stable, and everything is good. However, there are some things you should be made aware of.

    * The keyboard and mouse are indeed wired. That is odd for an All-In-One system. Most of these systems come with a Bluetooth pre-paired wireless set. This may be a good thing for you though, as I have had plenty of calls related to dying Bluetooth keyboards, and people do not know how to change the batteries in them. No, I’m not joking.

    * The power cord is not standardized. They use their own power cord…..know what that means? It’s more susceptible to breakage. That’s right, money for HP….

    * The touch screen is great….but …. are you really going to use it? Really? After the first 48 hours?

    * Windows 8…. Let me be clear about Windows 8. It’s not the greatest, but you’ll be ok. Heck, you might even like it after a while.

    * The Keyboard and mouse are cheap cheap cheap.

    * There are no recovery disks, or Certificates of Authenticity. All of that info is stored on your motherboard, in your bios…but the recovery disks? Make a copy using the tool in the computer. Otherwise when your hard drive dies (and it will) you’ll have to buy recovery disks from HP.

SHORT AND SWEET: All in Ones are expensive. This one is acceptable, but you’re making concessions, for sure!

I was expecting this computer to be entirely wireless, however it is not. That is the only disappointment I have.
This screen is large and impressive. Windows 8 operating system is more difficult to use and takes time to learn however has a lot of new options. Very easy to install – less than two minutes including opening the box. just plug it in and peel off the stickers. configures to your wireless internet easy and on its own. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a new computer – great value! Especially for students. Cant beat the $599 price line.

Wouldnt boot from the box. HP wont replace – will only repair, December 29, 2013

Bought this for Christmas, needless to say I was pretty disappointed when it wouldn’t start after I had moved our old computer, set this one up in our office, and troubleshooting didn’t work. After hunting through the HP website on my laptop to find the tech support chat site, after it failed to boot after the directed hard restart, the rep told me that HP would send a box to retrieve the computer and then they would repair it and send back to me, all of which should take about 2 weeks. When I said that I didn’t want a “repaired” computer, that I wanted a new one as I paid for a factory “new” not a factory “repaired” model, the rep said he understood, but that the repair was their policy. Needless to say I am pretty disappointed.
