    This is not the official DYZ Android Series 1. There is a guide on how to spot a fake and this is one. Fine if you are getting it for a child to play with but not to collect the series.

    EDIT: Please note: My figure’s seller was MasterGradeShopping. But sellers constantly change so please do not let my review reflect poorly on anyone else. I’m actually considering deleting this review since it may be outdated and unfair.

    I bought this only to find that it isn’t an authentic DYZ Plastics android figure (the only company licensed to produce these AFAIK). Google “dyz fake” for their guide to spotting the fake ones. Mine specifically suffers from the following “defects”:

    Figure:
    * Android logo on front of figure instead of rear
    EDIT: As FrenchFry points out in the first comment, this can be fixed by simply rotating the head.
    * Body molded from green plastic instead of being painted green
    * Obvious seam along arms
    * Longer antennas
    * Legs are a little wonky

    Box:
    * Worker image has two rows of dots by name instead of four like the rest
    * Solid shadows under heads of android images
    * Some letters on the box look strange like they’re from a different font than the rest of the word (That monospace font you always see on instruction manuals of products made in China). Specifically the “g” in both “Hi-Voltage” and “Google” (on the back bottom).

    Now I should also mention that I probably would not have even noticed any of these had I not also ordered two of the series 2 figures from another Amazon seller that were authentic. And it’s not like this little guy is horrible or anything. It just depends on whether or not you care to support the original artists. I took a chance and wound up with a copy.

    It looks like this seller does not accept returns, only exchanges for damaged goods, etc. I have not contacted them to confirm this however.

    As soon as I opened my knock-off Android mini-collectable, I knew it was a bad knock off. The paint around the “neck” is not clean and has brush marks on the torso. One of the antennas broke off before I even got it out of the packaging. Also, the arms bow out and make the whole thing look really strange. Stay away, this is a bad knock off.
